WOL+MED partnered with The American Red Cross on Friday, April 16th for their first annual blood drive. The event ran from 12pm to 4pm and WOL+MED cooked fajitas, provided juice, and gave away door prizes in a drawing for those who participated. We had an excellent turnout with 31 donors out of the nearly 50 people who tried to donate. According to the nurses from the Red Cross, the average number of donors in similar blood drives was 15. That means that WOL+MED had 100% more donors than the average! In the past 6 months, WOL+MED associates helped to feed 4,000 people with the North Texas Food Bank, during the holidays, donated clothing to the Salvation Army, and now saved 93 lives with The American Red Cross. We have a lot of fun doing community projects like these and we appreciate everyone who helped make this one a huge success! We’ll be doing more things like this in the coming months, so keep an eye out for your opportunity to partner up with us and give back.
